A contact lens examination follows a similar procedure to a routine eye examination. But additional steps are needed to customize your prescription and evaluate key factors for a comfortable fit. Contact Lens Exam Process
During the examination, we complete tests to measure the size of your cornea, iris, and pupil, aiding in the proper lens alignment. Additionally, we evaluate the curvature of your eye (corneal curvature) and assess the tear film (surface moisture).
Contact Lens Fitting Process
Once we have your customized information, we’ll give you a trial pair to take home. Then, we’ll arrange a follow-up appointment to gauge your satisfaction with the new lenses and assess your eye health after wear. If the lenses are the right fit, we’ll order your supply. If they don’t meet your visual needs, we can make adjustments to enhance the fit.
